Literature Text
Don't cry my precious girl,
You are doing just fine,
Wipe away those frustrated tears,
Walk your pace at your own time.
Strengthen your soul and broaden your mind,
Then treat the trial your own way,
Gather your courage and you will find,
Not all problems are there to stay.
Take the challenge straight on,
That I know you can overcome,
Ask for help, don't do it alone,
Pray to God and you'll be calm.
Every mistake you've ever made,
Any careless acts you may regret,
Don't toss them away and let them fade,
Each a lesson you must not forget.
Pray hard, work smart and do your best,
And one day you will see,
Fate isn't all cruel, that the world cares,
Your life is what your mind wants it to be.

The Color of Your Eyes
The flashing hues of green and blue bring to mind the colors of a tropical sea in images on postcards. The wondrous shift and blend they have leave me mesmerized as I watch your moods shift through the day. Dark and alluring, the browns are rich like Expresso, like chocolate on a cold winter's night, drawing me in to try and seek the hidden secrets held within. Spring lingers in your gaze, peering from out amongst the Veridian foliage that lives within your eyes. Shade and light, all dance and sway as if the breeze is blowing across your secret skies. Blue like the darkest of full moon nights, or sapphires so pale, they bring to mind the shimmering stars. I watch patiently, waiting to see if the ice will crack, or if I will see the winds chase the clouds across your face, and see shapes I never thought possible. Amber tears weep from the trees and linger, suspended in your eyes. Bits of memories glimmer through, special treasures held within their clear depths. What other secrets

Story's End
It was easier to bleed than to write. It was easier to stare back at the beast which watched him bleed out, which waited with frothing mouth and glistening teeth. It was easier to succumb to the crimson stare. Nonetheless, he picked up the pen. His words mingled with his blood, his words were blood, a crimson warning and threnody. His tears came hot and heavy. They sizzled on the dungeon’s stone. In the writing, his wounds stitched together. The spilled blood hissed and ignited. His words became fire, his pen a blazing sword. Now the beast recoiled from him.

This was written a few weeks before I had a really hard time. It was a comfort to myself from my own past.
